About me

Hello! Welcome to my e-portfolio. The primary aim of this portfolio is to highlight my teaching philosophy, the structure, and the content I incorporate in my lesson plans, specific artifacts and mainly my strengths and weaknesses as a teacher of English. This portfolio reflects myself as a teacher and a postgraduate student simultaneously. I am currently reading for my Master of Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia. I worked as a Lecturer of English at Institute of Technology, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. After the completion of Bachelors of English (General) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka in 2014, I started the venture of my higher studies, and I was able to complete Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka in 2020. Thereafter, I got myself registered as a postgraduate student of TESL at Post Graduate Institute of English (PGIE) at Open University, Sri Lanka in 2019 as I wanted to enhance my English teaching skills and upgrade my qualifications as a university lecturer. Without a doubt, I can confidently say that this Post Graduate Diploma in TESL supported me in multifarious ways to improve my teaching techniques and strategies while molding myself to embrace the novel technologies in the 21st century, specially polishing up and adjusting myself to the new normal life after the covid 19 pandemic.
